What are Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?

Approved by the FDA under the brand names Ozempic, Mounjaro and Wegovy, semaglutide and trizepatide have been used to safely and effectively manage blood sugar, diabetes and weight loss with a once weekly subcutaneous injection. After injection, it mimics the action of GLP-1, a hormone in our bodies that stimulates insulin to reduce blood glucose (sugar) levels and increase the amount of fat your body burns for energy.
